Find out the pros and cons of using technology in your classroom
There are many benefits to using tablet devices in the classroom, not least enabling all pupils to access technology which can enhance their learning. For example, science teachers and students can work together on-screen to visualise difficult concepts, use simulations to support experiments and facilitate in-task feedback and correction – things which simply aren’t possible with workbooks. Nevertheless, without appropriate staff training and a considered rollout, tablet technology can bring its own problems. Are tablets here to stay? Or just an expensive distraction?
